summer school here i come

Earlier this week I decided to take at least one class this summer. I never done summer school and the thought of going to school in the summer sounds like torture, but it's necessary. Also Casey will be trying to go back to school starting this summer so I won't be alone.

So to move on today...I decided before I take any classes I would see what I have left to take. I've been at ACC for a couple of years and I've taken a full load each semester. I saw one of the advisers on campus and found out that I only need 3 MORE CLASSES TO GRADUATE! I couldn't believe it. I kept thinking this is really happening. I'll be able to graduate soon, very soon.

The 3 classes I have left will take me 3 semesters to complete which is kind of a bummer but exciting. This summer I'm going to take History of Photography. Basically a snooze class and in the fall I'll be taking Studio Management. It should be too bad since it will be the only one. Then next summer I'll be taking Portfolio Development. It's an intense class. You're required to have a strong body of work and you have to be accepted into the class. A few people have told me that I already have a strong body of work but I want to wait and get it organized and possibly stronger.

Right now I'm still really excited about school being over. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

2 years...

Last Saturday was 2 years for me and Casey. 2 years! I never would of thought that would be possible. But I love him. I love him so much.

For his present I made an awesome picture frame/shadow box (inspired by miranda)

Here's the before:
It took me awhile to figure out what I was going to make him. Lately I've been having a craftster block. It's like writer's block but for crafty people. After talking to Miranda and getting inspired by all the cute little tings she's made or is making I went with the frame. Casey loves to hang pictures of us and place little things on his shelves.

Here's the after:

I was also able to make him a card out of the leftover supplies. It's really simple but meaningful.

Here's a close-up of the front:

where has the time gone?

I can't believe how long it has been since I've typed something. But no worries I will definitely make up for it because a lot has happened the past 3 weeks. I'm going to post different ones so it won't be a massive post that no one will read. Expect to see a lot of updates in the coming week.
